With the development of communication channels, fashion variables have also entered a continuous transformation. A trend that started especially thanks to the internet can be followed by people on the other side of the world in the same minute. With this traceability, fashion trends and decoration trends had the opportunity to spread very quickly. This situation, which is easily traceable especially in textiles and decoration, allows each new year to be dominated by certain trends.

The trend compass, which has been turning more and more towards nature recently, points towards nature in 2019 as well. Therefore, we have compiled 2019 decoration trends for you. Here are 10 decoration trends that can appeal to different tastes with small details and will be frequently seen in interior design elements this year:

1.Curved and flexible forms in furniture

Although furniture design in the modern era first brings to mind sharp lines, sofas, chairs and armchairs are getting curved and flexible forms that look more fluid in the new year.

2.Marble and stone patterns

We continue to see wooden elements in all interiors recently when the tendency towards nature is in demand. Designs that combine marble and stone surface patterns with wood, which were on the rise in decoration trends in 2018, are also frequently seen in 2019. These patterns add a unique atmosphere to the spaces whether they are used with plain wood colors or copper materials.

3.Geometric and floral patterns

Floral patterns are in high demand, especially in wall coverings, curtains, furniture and accessories. Geometric details, such as floral patterns, are the most preferred decoration trends, mostly on fabrics or paintings, preferably on the walls. You can add movement to your space with geometric patterned pillows on your armchairs or rugs you prefer as floor coverings and create modern breezes.

4. Sage green, blue and orange

Green always finds a place in our spaces with its different shades. Just like last year, soft colors stand out this year as well. In 2019, living coral replaces the powdery pinks of the past. These soft shades, which we use to create integrity at different points of decoration trends, are indispensable for this season.

5.Green plants

Pantone's choice of nature and green as the theme for 2017 continues in 2019. Green plants have earned more space in our living areas as the best way to feel the nature at every moment. Especially large-leaved green plants and indoor trees continue to decorate spaces. We see that the return to nature will continue this year.

6.Velvet

We see that velvet fabrics have not been in demand for a long time, but this year we see them especially on sofas. It is possible to easily capture the retro style with velvet fabric, especially with this year's color sage green in our living rooms.

7.Matt black bathrooms

In 2019, we will see matt black in many areas. Black, which stands out especially on the walls or cabinet doors in bathrooms, displays an aristocratic attitude by creating an elegant and powerful spirit in the environment.

8.Multifunctional furniture

Today, the need for functionality in furniture has increased with the preference of small houses. Thus, the trend towards more useful and simpler design began in furniture. The highlights of 2019 are adding spaciousness to spaces with clever solutions such as folding chairs, easy-to-open sofas, beds that turn into wardrobes and bringing the philosophy of "less is more" to living spaces.

9. Copper tones and brass details

Copper and brass have been preferred in decorative object designs for centuries. These two metals, which are preferred by designers for their unique sparkle, attract attention in many areas from lighting to coffee tables. Metals, which can be used alone or with different textures such as marble and stone, provide a striking effect in spaces.  In 2019, in addition to this ongoing use, we see that brass and copper details stand out, especially in bathrooms and kitchens.

10. Artistic decorative elements with natural elements

Decorative elements designed with glass or special stones sometimes appear as lighting and sometimes as sculpture. Especially handmade objects made of these natural materials are in high demand in 2019 decoration trends.
