'Back to nature' era in design
Yıldız Entegre hosted Türkiye's leading architects and designers at the "Ağacın İzinde Tuesday Talks" held on social media. According to architects who shared the passwords of the new era, in the process that started with the coronavirus pandemic, design will become more important than ever; nature will be at the heart of all design trends.
In the process that started with the coronavirus outbreak, Yıldız Entegre, which brought together architect and designer conversations with all of Türkiye through social media, completed the series of events called "Ağacın İzinde Tuesday Talks". In the conversations broadcast live on Yıldız Entegre's Instagram page and moderated by Benan Kapucu, leading names from the world of architecture and design Derin Sarıyer, Deniz Aslan, Nevzat Sayın, Önder Kul and Ayça Akkaya Kul discussed the present and future of design, and explained the developments in the design world, especially after the coronavirus outbreak.
MEDICAL PRODUCTS AND FURNITURE CAN INTEGRATE
Derin Sarıyer, the guest of the first of the Ağacın İzinde Tuesday Talks, talks about this process underlining the importance of parks and gardens, he said, "The tree is an iconic creature that represents nature. There are systems in the world that can incorporate the tree into life using a certain amount of technology. For example, medical products and furniture will be intertwined. Designers will be much more involved in this matter than before."
Nevzat Sayın, who focused on the concept of sustainability in architecture and design, said, "Sustainability comes to the agenda with ecological issues. But it was always there. When we look at traditional architecture, this concept existed. Sustainability should be understood by looking at both the past and the future."
HUMAN BEINGS HAVE A VERY STRONG CONNECTION WITH WOOD
Önder Kul and Ayça Akkaya Kul, who stated that they intensively work on "working spaces" in their projects and that there is a deep relationship between wood and human beings, made the following statements on the subject: "Human beings feel very close to wood. Wood is a material that is involved in this field. If there is a physical environment where we cannot connect with nature, we try to provide it with material and color. All this is because it makes you feel good. Let the person feel that their efficiency is increasing. This is an energy. People reflect this energy to each other."
ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITIVITY WILL BE A PRIORITY
Stating that they are trying to convey to the public the developments in the design world in the post-coronavirus period through the narration of Türkiye's leading architects with the "Ağacın İzinde Tuesday Talks", Yıldız Entegre Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager Ercan Şahin said: "In fact, we have seen the following in all interviews: The concepts of nature and environment are once again at the heart of the design world. In the coming period, as the bond between people and wood becomes stronger and stronger, environmental sensitivity will be the primary priority in all projects, regardless of interior and exterior structure. The motto 'Ağacın İzinde (In the Footsteps of the Tree)', which we have recently emphasized in our communication as Yıldız Entegre, is the most important indicator of how much we embrace this issue as a company. In the coming period, we will continue to raise awareness on this issue with new generation events such as these, and we will reinforce this vision with the products we design and manufacture."
