Elegant, Romantic And Cool: Milan 01 April 2019
Yıldız Entegre greets everyone from this month’s “Chasing the Tree” journey!
Every month we journey through a new city and do our best to share details about its architecture, culture and art scene, and unique structures. This month, our destination is the “Elegant, Romantic and Cool” city Milan. We spared April to chase after history and nature in Milan, a city magnificent enough to make you fall in love with it every step of the way.
The second largest and most crowded city in Italy after Rome, Milano is the capital of Lombardy region and this information alone explains a lot about its cultural heritage. Every inch of this city is steeped in fine sculptures and imposing structures. The history it effortlessly carries into the modern world is simply enthralling.
Often referred to as the capital of art, design, commerce, education, fashion, and show business, Milan is famously known as a city where past and present demonstrates a tasteful harmony in everyday life. Even though many people refer to this city as the “Heart of Fashion”, Milan’s overall history and architectural heritage hard to overlook. For example, one of the largest cathedrals in Europe is located right in the middle of this city. Named Duomo Di Milano, this cathedral definitely beat a record by spending 500 years in the making.
We are sure that Milan will be one of the cities on the top of your must-visit list as you get to know its well-preserved cultural heritage and how well it carries the Mediterranean atmosphere. Even we got very excited while preparing this month’s content. After all, who wouldn’t be thrilled to learn about the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele which is one of the world’s oldest shopping malls, or the Scala which is one of the world’s largest theater buildings? No one, of course.
We have a surprise for you this month. We’ll be attending Milan Design Week and İsaloni, which is one of the world’s largest furniture fair, and we plan to share our all experiences with you on social media and let you know about the latest trends in furniture design.
Make sure to follow our journey through Milan and our adventures at the Milan Design Week!
