A Centennial Establishment: Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding A.Ş.

Yildiz Group, with a hundred years of past, which has been acting as an innovator in forestry products, fertilizer, chemistry, energy production, insurance intermediary services and port operation has founded Yildizlar Investment Holding Joint Stock Company by restructuring in order to provide pace and strength to the companies in the area of finance, administration and law. The Holding renders services in the holding management building in Kocaeli to provide comprehensive services to the companies under its management in the areas of management, organization, and information-processing.

Management

The management principle of the Holding is that all companies under it continue and develop their existence with their self-government. Together with this, it creates principles and supervises in the areas of investment, financing and training.

Organization and Companies

Yildizlar Holding Companies rank among the best in the top 500 ranking announced by the Chamber of Commerce of Istanbul every year. The companies under the Holding are the greatest MDF producers in Turkey in the area of forestry products, which are also engaged in decorated covered MDF, MDFLAM, MDF Profile, Laminate Parquet, MDF Door, Door Panel, Dyed Back and Processed paper production. In the area of chemicals, Formaldehyde, Adhesive, Concentrated Nitric Acid and Diluted Acid are produced. In another leading sector of the Holding, the Fertilizer sector, it is the first and sole Urea Fertilizer and Ammoniac producer in Turkey. With the composed fertilizer investment which has been completed in 2007, 15.15.15 and 20.20 fertilizers are produced in Kocaeli plants. In the second plant in Kütahya, 26% CAN, 33% AN and TAN fertilizers are produced. Moreover, in these plants Porous which is the only raw material for explosives in our country and meeting the demands of Turkish Armed Forces is produced. The Holding completed the investment in electricity generation to meet the energy and electricity needs of the companies in 2001. The investment in the port facilities in Kocaeli has been completed to meet the increasing import and export volumes of the companies as well as to provide service to third parties, and the port has become one of the greatest in Körfez.

Due to the fact that sea transportation is important in the world conjuncture, Yildizlar Holding has decided to establish its own ship fleet, and started a shipyard investment which can construct dry cargo and liquid cargo ships with 30.000 DWT capacity on an area of 50.000m2 in Yeniköy, Kocaeli. After the permits are obtained, the investment regarding the shipyard will be completed in as short time as 1 year, and our group will start to establish its own fleet while taking ship order for third parties as well. Yildiz Ship Industry with the capacity to build 4 ships in a year will continue to contribute to the Turkish Industry.
Yildizlar Holding which has been in important projects in Turkey, has decided to invest in forestry products in Russia and Iran to have a voice in abroad as well. In both regions, the preparations for investment permits are under process and the projects will start in the middle of 2008.

Information-Processing Center

The technology is followed in information technologies center with the customer-focused systems. Thanks to the infrastructure it has established, it provides every kind of service between the companies and customers. The program called SAP ERP Corporate Sources Planning which is used by the leading establishments in the world will start to be used in the group companies in 2008, and the efficiency in the areas such as cost management, production planning, customer satisfaction will increase.
